JHS Sophs vs. Grayslake Central - January 24, 2008

JHS 35
Grayslake Central 24

Jordyn Schwagerman got the Hawks off and running on Thursday night, hitting the first 2 shots of the game and Krista Volden finished the night off scoring 11 points in the 4th quarter to lead the Skyhawks to a season sweep of the Rams. The Skyhawks found themselves down 2 at the end of 3 quarters, but finished by outscoring Grayslake 13 to 0 in the fourth, Krista Volden scoring 11 of the 13. Krista finished with 16 points on the night. With her big night, Krista jumped from being the tenth all time leading scorer for the sophomores under Coach Frey to 4th. Only Heather Miller, Rebecca Staveteig and Courtney Bielis have scored more points in sophomore games in this century. Nice job Krista!

After spending 1/2 hour with her coach and another 45 minutes with her dad working on her shooting Wednesday, Lauren Rodgers nailed her first 3 pointer of the season in the second quarter.

The Skyhawks are now 16-6 overall and 4-2 in the conference.
