JHS vs. Grayslake North - Wednesday, December 9, 2009
JHS 36
Grayslake North 25
You could tell in the first half that all 11 Skyhawk sophomores were thinking about what they do if school was called off Thursday, but they came to play in the second half outscoring the host Knights by 17 in the 3rd and 4th quarters. The sophomores ended up winning their second conference game of the season, beating Grayslake North by 11 in Grayslake.
Morgan Berge led the Hawks with 13 points, but Tayelor Neiss' defense and Genna Gallina's rebounding against the much bigger Knights were equally as important. The Skyhawks also shot better than 50% from the free throw line for only the second time in ten games.
Practice on Thursday and Friday are at 2:45.
