The varsity girls team won their first 2 games at Notre Dame today. In their first game, the Hawks beat St. Joseph's from the state of Ohio by 16 points. Game 2 saw the Hawks come from behind to beat Andrew HS by 12. The girls are now 20 -2 this summer.

Plainfield Shootout - Varsity
The Varsity girls stomped the competition this weekend at the Plainfield Shootout. The girls defeated Necqua Valley, Lemont, Kankakee Bishop McNamara, Rosary and a couple of others to finish 6 - 0. The varsity girls are 18 - 2 this summer as they head to Notre Dame for 3 days of team camp.
District 155 Shootout - Saturday
The sophomores went 2 - 1 on Saturday at Crystal Lake South, to finish the shootout at 4 - 1. After dropping their first game of the day to Cary Grove, the Hawks came back to beat a scrappy Woodstock team and then, with only 4 players, beat Crystal Lake Central in their final game. Everyone gave a great effort over the weekend, the only negative was freshman Tara A. broke her leg in the beginning of Saturday's second game.

District 155 Shootout - Friday
The sophomores went up against Antioch in their first game of the shootout. After trailing 15-13 in the first half, the girls went on a 45-9 run to finish the game. The final score: 60-24. In Friday's second game against Crystal Lake South, the sophs, playing with only 5 players, overcame a poor first half to beat the host team 33-27.
Saturday the sophs will play at 10, 12, and 2 against Woodstock, Cary Grove and Crystal Lake Central.

Summer League Update
The sophomore Hawks ran their summer record to 9-1 with their four victories this week at Dundee-Crown. The sophomores are 0 - 1 with Coach Frey there and 9 - 0 without.
The varsity won all of their games this week and are now 12 - 2.
The freshmen and sophomores are playing this weekend in the District 155 Shootout. The freshmen will play at Crystal Lake Central and the sophomores will play at Crystal Lake South.

Summer League Night 1
The sophomore Skyhawks easily handled St. Eds in the first game of the night under Coach O'Niel. In the second game, with Coach Frey at the helm, the girls were defeated by Prairie Ridge. The sophs summer record is now 1-1.
The varsity girls beat Huntley in game 1 and lost in suddent death overtime to Grant in game 2. At halftime of the game 3, the Lady Skyhawks were down by 1 to Dundee Crown.

Directions to Dundee Crown
Today's games start at 6:30 for the sophs and 7:30 for the varsity. The best directions to Dundee Crown from Johnsburg are:
31 south to 62.
Turn left (east) on 62
Turn right (south) on Sandbloom Road (there will be a Merlin's and Walgreens at this intersection)
Go south a couple of miles until you reach a stop sign. This will be King's Road. Turn left (east) on King's Road.
Dundee Crown HS will be a couple of blocks away on your left.

Summer Camp
Summer camp is in full swing. Girls have been working hard and learning new things. On Thursday, both the varsity and sophomore teams will jump into action at the Dundee Crown summer league.
The sophomores will play St. Eds on Court 3 @ 6:30 and Prairie Ridge on Court 3 @ 8:30.
The defending Big Northern Conference Champions will start their summer season vs. Huntley at 7:30 on Court 3. Then they will play the always tough Grant Bulldogs at 8:30 on Court 2 and will finish the night playing host Dundee Crown at 9:30 on Court 4.
