The Skyhawks dropped their season finale to the Wolves on Saturday. Leading after the first quarter, the Hawks fell behind by 11 at half and played even with PR for the second half. Krista Volden scored 7 and Chandler Sommerfeldt added 5 points.

The sophomores finish their season at 17-9 and 5-5 in the Fox Valley which puts them in 4th place for the season.

Uniform turn in is Monday after school in Room 113.

Trailing by 8 going into the 4th quarter and still trailing by 6 with under 2 minutes to play, the Hawks turned up their intensity and took the lead against the Knights. With 4.7 seconds to play, Grayslake North made 2 free throws to send the game into overtime. The Skyhawks scored the first 11 points of overtime to seal the victory. Krista Volden scored 11 points. Chandler Sommerfeldt scored 9, 8 in the fourth quarter. Jordyn Schwagerman added 8, Katie Young and Lauren Rodgers chipped in with 5.

The Hawks are now 17-8 overall and 5-4 in the conference and will take on Prairie Ridge in the season finale on Friday night.

In the lowest scoring output in 8 years, the Hawks still had the lead in the 4th quarter against the Tigers but couldn't hold on to the lead getting outscored 13 to 1 in the final stanza.

The Hawks fall to 16-8 overall and 4-4 in conference play.
